Olofström Municipality is looking for you who wants to work on the development of the municipality's external website and intranet. You will work to ensure that the websites meet the needs of the operations and users, as well as legal requirements for digital accessibility. Furthermore, you will work both strategically and operationally with communication in general, from planning and producing content to monitoring initiatives in our channels.

You will become part of the staff department within the Municipal Executive Office, which is a cohesive team with assignments primarily within communication, emergency preparedness, crime prevention, EU coordination, and overall quality work. Your closest colleague is the Communications Manager, and together you provide communication support to the entire organization.

Job Description

In your role, you are responsible for the development and management of the municipality's external website and intranet. You define requirements and conduct acceptance testing of technical orders to our suppliers, as well as train and support web editors and content managers within the organization.

You plan, produce, and monitor communication initiatives in various channels. You create print materials, news, press releases, and social media content, and serve as a sounding board for operations in their communication planning.

You will also:

• report on the digital accessibility of the websites
• be responsible for managing and developing our image and video platform
• provide support with crisis communication management if needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who has a relevant completed post-secondary education in systems science/information science/web development, or alternatively an academic degree that the employer deems relevant, e.g., media and communication science.

You have relevant experience regarding the development and management of the web, including the technical aspects of the work. Furthermore, you preferably have a few years of work experience in the role of a communicator or other equivalent experience, and are accustomed to working both strategically and operationally.

You also have:

• good knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
• good knowledge of HTML and CSS
• good knowledge of CMS
• good knowledge of the WCAG standard
• good knowledge of digital accessibility
• Category B driver's license

It is meritorious with:

• good knowledge of Sitevision
• good knowledge of UX/usability
• experience with web analytics and user testing
• experience with AI
• good knowledge of plain language
• experience with social media
• knowledge of crisis communication
• experience in public sector work, especially in municipal work

Personal Qualities

We believe that you are an engaged and responsible person who enjoys working with many different assignments in parallel, while being meticulous and creative. You need to have good collaboration skills as you will work broadly and have contact with both managers and employees within the municipal organization as well as external actors.

You need to be communicative and handle situations that require judgment, and have a good understanding of how an issue can be part of a larger context.

As a person, you are self-sufficient once you have settled into the assignment, come up with new approaches, and take initiative to drive the development of the municipality's web, intranet, and communication forward.
